This started as my story, but has evolved to OUR story. This is the story of life as a single parent to a wonderful little boy while we wait for baby sister. China LID 2.12.07.

November 4, 2007--My ah-ha moment aka the moment I decided to jump.
November 10, 2007--Mailed preliminary application to agency.
November 13, 2007--Spoke with Social Worker about completing concurrent adoptions. She's onboard, baby!
November 14, 2007--made appointment with MD for physical.
November 21, 2007--I'm IN! The agency approved me!
November 26, 2007--Fed Ex'd official application to agency.
November 28, 2007--Completed home study application and mailed pronto.
December 1, 2007--I just received my packet from the agency!! Talk about feeling excited! Now it is really on.
December 4, 2007--Physical completed.
December 13, 2007--Home study complete.
December 17, 2007--I-600A mailed.
December 24, 2007--I-600A resent
December 27, 2007--Received home study final report.
January 15, 2008--USCIS requested more information. Information resent.
February 7, 2008--My fingerprint appointment....and another screw-up from USCIS.
March 15, 2008--Received my 171H. Yeah!!!!
March 17, 2008--I'm #10 or 11 on the boy's list!
March 24, 2008--Submitted dossier and started immunizations.
April 1, 2008--Dossier sent to San Fran for authentication
April 18, 2008--Dossier still in San Fran, but I'm #9!
April 24, 2008--DTV, baby!
May 9, 2008--#4! Beautiful #4 on the boy list and hoping next time that I am in negative digits!

Your son is beautiful. Looking forward to reading back through your blog and getting to "know" you.
And yes.. I'm so happy to connect with other single moms. No one can understand all my hopes and fears or offer advice like someone who walks in the same shoes.
Catherine looked at Duc's picture, and her first comment was "Those are too big for him." Very serious voice, too!
